Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounting Administrative Assistant to support our accounting department in Pasadena. This role is ideal for someone starting their accounting or finance career and eager to gain hands-on experience in general accounting, administrative support, and office operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team
  • Assist with data entry for invoices, expenses, and financial records
  • Organize, scan, and maintain accounting files and documentation
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Reconcile basic financial reports and assist with monthly close tasks
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and route inquiries appropriately
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information
  • Assist with general office and clerical duties as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Coursework or interest in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong data entry and numerical accuracy skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills

  • Basic Excel skills (spreadsheets, data tracking)
  • Experience with filing, documentation, or administrative work
  • Familiarity with accounting software (training provided)
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the accounting field

Schedule & Compensation

  • Monday - Friday, standard business hours
  • Competitive entry-level pay based on experience $20-25hr
